Morgan joined the CMS team back in 2012 and has been a favorite around the office and in the various hospital assignments where she has been placed. She is a previous winner of the ‘Can We Clone You?” Chessie award, and the perfect candidate to be highlighted as our inaugural clinician of the month.

Read below to learn a bit more about Morgan and her time at CMS:

I cannot begin to tell you how honored I am to receive such recognition from the top nursing agency in Maryland! After working for Chesapeake Medical Staffing for several years, I feel like I’ve grown into a second family. Not only has the CMS team been there for milestones in my career, but they have watched me mature into the person I am today.

Growing up in the small town of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, I knew at a young age that I wanted to become a nurse just like my aunt who started her career as a Navy nurse. I decided to take a different route and attended four years at Towson University to obtain a Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing.

During my time at Towson University, I was selected for a summer nursing externship at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in the Emergency Room. From the minute I stepped foot into the ER, I knew I was bound to be a critical care nurse. I could not get enough of the excitement and after graduating from Towson University, I embarked on my nursing career as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at GBMC.

Several years into my career, I became interested in travel and agency nursing. After much research and referrals to Chesapeake Medical Staffing, my journey started as I took on contracts in Emergency Rooms throughout the state of Maryland. After gaining experience as an ER nurse, I recently came across the opportunity to be cross trained for a position as a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology.

Chesapeake Medical Staffing has opened my eyes to uncountable opportunities in the nursing field. With hard work, determination, and a superior agency behind me, I have molded into the nurse I have become.

As nursing is a major part of my life, I still have the benefit of enjoying my free time to the fullest. Whether it be four-wheeling through the woods, catching crabs on the bay, or taking long rides on the supermoto, there is never a dull moment during time off. I am extremely proud to be a member of the CMS team and encourage all who are looking for big opportunities with a fun and reputable agency to join today!
