Currently seeking a RN to work on Oncology floor for a 13 week assignment (with possible extension) in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years clinical experience and 2 years of specialty experience.



  • Non-negotiable requirement is  an experienced oncology nurse who did NOT learn oncology while traveling but has 2-3 solid oncology years in prior to traveling.   Prefer travel experience,
  • Strongly  prefer ambulatory experience but if they are coming from a large  academic place, similar to Hopkins.. I can teach them the ambulatory piece.
  • Prefer clinical trial experience

Travelers could be asked to rotate between the three Outpatient Infusion Clinics:

  • WEINBERG IPOP/HIPOP Clinic – Blood and Marrow Transplant and Heme Malignancies- patients undergoing active treatments and supportive care
  • WEINBERG Outpatient Oncology Infusion Clinics for Liquid Tumors
  • VIRAGH Outpatient Oncology Infusion Clinics for Solid Tumors


In All Clinical Areas:

  • 13 week contract
  • Full time hours 40 hrs/week
  • TIME OFF REQUESTS must be presented in contract, for approval, before  contract is accepted.
  • Travelers scheduled to unit needs. No fixed shifts or shift sequence.
  • 10 hour shifts X 4 shifts per week


Unit Details:

UNIT – IPOP/HIPOP Clinic – 5th Floor Weinberg Building

  • Four 10 hour days
  • Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday


UNITS -Weinberg LIQUID TUMOR OUTPT. INFUSION- 2nd Floor Weinberg Building

Viragh SOLID TUMOR OUTPATIENT INFUSION- 6th floor Viragh Building


  • Four 10 hour days or five 8 hour days per management
  • Weekend Time: When rotating to the SOLID and LIQUID TUMOR infusion suites, we have limited Sat. hours. Rotation to weekends is limited and per clinic routine.
  • Late shift coverage: Part of working in the SOLID and LIQUID TUMOR infusion suites includes scheduled late shift coverage and staying late to cover a callout by a late shift RN.
  • Staff work 8-10 hour shifts (8-430pm or 8-630pm) and rotate, ~5 times in a 6 week schedule, to a scheduled late shift,  9-7:30pm.
  • Identified staff stay late to cover a late shift, when the scheduled late shift RN calls out.

This happens ~ 4 times a schedule, the identified RN stays until 730pm, or until the last patient leaves.




  • Overtime is not written into this contract.  Any overtime must be approved by the nurse manager, in advance.
  • Travelers are expected to pace themselves and finish their assignment by the end of their shift.   Written and verbal  handoffs should be given to the  late shift  RN by 6:15pm
  • Travelers are expected to sign off and take their lunch break.  Travelers cannot be paid for a missed meal.

13 weeks with possible extension.

Require an updated resume, skills checklist, and two recent manager or supervisory references. Please note these are the standard requirements but they can vary by facility. Need active MD or compact license.

Rate Details

Please note: Quoted pay rate is for local candidates. Travelers will be paid the equivalent of the local rate minus housing. Housing stipends available. Please note orientation is paid at full rate and parking is reimbursed. Travelers please request a sample pay stub to know to see your take home wage.
