Join me in wishing congratulations to April’s full-time clinician of the month – Sharon Hein! Sharon has completed multiple assignments through CMS in both the ER and ICU. She has worked in the Southern MD countryside and is all set to start a premium rate assignment in Baltimore City this May. Her evaluations are impeccable and she is a pleasure to work with – her current RN manager has labeled her as a great team member and a truly excellent RN!
Kudos to Sharon – read below to learn a bit more about her story and how she ended up with CMS:
I grew up in Southern Maryland, and moved to Baltimore in 2007 to complete nursing school. I graduated from Morgan State University in 2011. I have always had a love for healthcare. While in high school I worked in a Pediatricians office, and I graduated high school with my CNA. I have worked in the ER as a tech since I graduated high school. After graduating nursing school I started out in the MICU at UMMC. A few years later I decided to go back to the ER at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. I love both the ER and ICU for different reasons. I learned about CMS from one of my former co-workers. She loved it and had nothing but positive things to say about the agency. I love working for CMS for multiple reasons. Everyone I have came in contact with is polite and responds quickly to every email. My favorite part about working with the agency is the ability to switch back and forth between ER and ICU. I also like the fact that I can explore different hospitals and work different shifts. I think that my passion for nursing has made me successful in my career. I honestly could not imagine not being a nurse, I have never wanted to be anything else. Outside of nursing most of my free time is spent with my 2 year old daughter, who keeps me on my feet.
Thanks so much for sharing your story, Sharon, and we are so lucky to have you as part of our team – congrats again!
