Flu Vaccine Deadline: November 30th
2 step PPD (must be between 3 weeks and 6 months apart)
Stroke required for ER, ICU, IMC, PCU and Tele Units
Drug Screen within 30 days of orientation
TDAP required for the ER if caring for Pediatric Population
PALS required for the ER if caring for Pediatric Population

PLEASE NOTE: If you have completed the orientation procedure for Harford Memorial Hospital, you have fulfilled the requirements for Upper Chesapeake Medical Center as well.

RN Orientation for new PRN ED Staff (they are not currently orienting per diem staff other than ER RNs)

  • Return all Healthstream certificates as outlined in those instructions
  • Return all documents as outlined in those instructions
  • Return verification that you have completed NIH Stroke Scale.  A free course is available online at the American Heart Association or at the NIH Stroke Scale International. Please go to either of the following websites:
  • EKG/Arrhythmia exam must be scheduled with the facility – your drug screen will need to be within 30 days of this
  • Meditech Training for PRN ED Nurses must be scheduled with the facility – your drug screen will need to be within 30 days of this

  • Return all Healthstream certificates as outlined in the Updated Contract Web Docs instructions
  • Return all documents as ooutlined in the Updated Contract Web Docs instructions
